I really like the look of the lighter parts, reminds me of some petrefied wood I once saw.

it's beautiful. Have you ever tried painting with gouache? I prefer gouache over acrylic paint anytime.

Optimistic how?

instant reaction; i wished the heart wasnt a hybrid of the symbol and the organ, but then i realized how trite it would be as just a symbol and how [blatant, gory, flat.. some combination of these words] it would be if it wa the organ.
i would have liked to see some more dimension in it, as of now its pretty flat.

Optimistic : This is my naked heart in front of all you people, vulnerable, but more ready than ever to show it.

Yeah well I don't think it is such a good painting... But I didn't mean it to be great. This is just how I felt and I probably won't touch it again.
